Master Jon Ward

 

Master Ward started his martial arts training in San Jose in 1980, studying Tae Kwon Do under the direction of Master Tony Thompson, who, along with Master Ernie Reyes, founded the West Coast Institute of Tae Kwon Do. It was during the early years that Master Ward was introduced to several styles of martial arts and first encountered the Filipino martial arts.  West Coast brought Mangisursuro Inay to teach his Eskrima for the emerging schools and it was during one of these seminars that Master Ward first met Mangisursuro Inay. Master Ward is a former member of the West Coast Demonstration Team, and was a nationally rated competitor during the late eighties and early nineties. In addition Master Ward currently holds a 4th Degree Black Belt in Sin Moo Hapkido under Grandmaster Ji Han Jae.  

Master Ward began his in-depth training under Mangisursuro Inay in 1990, in Campbell, CA. In addition he lived with Mangisursuro Inay for three years, and had the opportunity to not only focus on Inayan Eskrima under Mangisursuro Inay but also to assist in the teaching of Inayan Eskrima Seminars.  Master Ward is reknowned worldwide for his innovative, effective and entertaining teaching of Inayan Eskrima.  He has taught Inayan Eskrima within the United States as well as in Germany, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Belgium. He is also a Senior Advisor to the International Kali Arnis Eskrima Federation. Master Ward's school is located in Campbell, CA, where he also continues to teach Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido.

Lahong Guro Norm Malonzo

 

Lahong Guro Norm Malonzo has been studying Inayan Eskrima for 15 years under Master Jon Ward.  Recently Guro Norm re-located to San Diego and is now forming  private and group classes in the North County area. 
Along with his experience in Filipino Marital Arts, Guro Norm also has backgrounds in Judo and Muay Thai.

Guro Koren

 

Jonathan Koren has trained in martial arts for over twelve years.  He is a 3rd degree black belt in West Coast Martial Arts and an 8th level Inayan Eskrima Instructor. He is familiar with various styles of martial arts including Tae Kwon Do, Kickboxing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  In his free time, he also studies pressure point concepts, practical self defense techniques and trains with weapons of all kinds.
